Biography >
Sam swam and ran with his local swimming and athletics clubs, and was introduced to pentathlon by participating in local swim/running biathlons, which are organised through the MPAGB. He then added one event at a time. Riding was the last one he tried and was the most tricky addition.

Sam's brother Chris is a goalkeeper with the English Championship football league club Bristol City.
